This is “Fully-SHIBORI kimono jacket”. SHIBORI which the entire fabric is dyed using the Japanese tie-dyeing technique. Special tools such as threads and boards are used to tie the fabric, creating areas that cannot be dyed. When the threads are undone after the entire garment is dyed, the tied areas remain uncoloured and stand out three-dimensionally, creating a pattern. SHIBORI is done by hand, so it can take anywhere from several months to over a year to complete.
The bright orange colour gives a lively and energetic impression. In ancient Japan, orange represented prosperity of descendants. This kimono jacket is unpretentious and casual to wear.
It is in very good conditions and high quality of silk.
